What can LEAP do for you?

We provide culturally appropriate and gender specific mentoring, in-home support, supervised family time visits, supervised transport and respite support for children and young people aged 0-18.

Our Services

Mentoring

LEAP staff provide positive, consistent, gender specific role models for young people who do not have supportive relationships with adults within their own families, schools, and peer networks.

Respite

LEAP provides accommodation support which provides children and young people with night and morning routines, support to maintain attendance at school, education about healthy food options, personal hygiene awareness, and increasing independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc.).

Supervised Family Time Visit

LEAP provides a consistent worker for the individual family (when a schedule is provided). Workers closely monitor the interactions between all parties which ensures the supervised contact visits are safe and positive for the children, young people, and their family members.

In-Home Support

LEAP support workers can provide flexible care in-home to assist with domestic duties and caring for children and young people, including establishing and maintaining routines, cooking, cleaning, and support to maintain attendance at school.

Supervised Transport

LEAP provides supervised transport for children, young people, and their families/carers/guardians if need be. Transport can be to mentoring sessions, to supervised contact visits, or to appointments and community events.

Crisis Supervision

LEAP provides 24/7 on-call crisis supervision for children and young people who may be homeless, suspended from school, struggling at home, or dealing with other challenges.

And there's more!

We believe consistency is vital with supporting children, young people, and their families. Therefore, LEAP Social Services ensure the same mentor maintains support for the individual child, young person, and/or family.

LEAP Social Services also provide comprehensive case note reports documenting information about pertinent and outstanding issues. Case not reports are provided for the hiring agency and all relevant support staff.
